GiftScope is a static website. The pages are files. There is no account, no checkout, and no form that stores what you type. The contact address is an email link, which opens your own mail programme.

These pages do not set cookies, and there is no analytics tag on the site. The budget filter runs in your browser and does not send the choice anywhere.

If you follow a link to Amazon, John Lewis, Hamleys, LEGO, Not On The High Street or another shop, that site has its own privacy notice and will usually set its own cookies, including affiliate cookies that record that you came from GiftScope. That is how a commission is attributed. We do not receive your payment details, your address, or the contents of your order beyond what an affiliate report might later summarise (for example, that a product was bought).

Product photographs are requested from the retailer’s or manufacturer’s servers when your browser loads a list. Those servers see a normal image request, which can include your IP address. We do not host copies of those photographs.

If you email hello@giftscope.co.uk, the message is read in order to reply. It is not added to a mailing list. There is no newsletter.

The site is aimed at adults buying gifts, including gifts for children. It is not a service for children to sign up to.
