About

GiftScope is an independent gift site for people buying in the UK. It is not a shop. Nothing is sold here, and there is no account to create.

Lists are hand-picked. A gift gets on a page because the product page was open, the age on the box made sense, and there was something specific to say about it. The notes are written for this site. They are not the manufacturer’s description with the adjectives swapped.

Girl and boy lists exist where people search that way, at 3, 5, 8, 10, 13 and 16. The split is the search, not a rule about what a child is allowed to like. A train can sit on a girls’ list. A doll can sit on a boys’ list. If it is the right object, it goes on the list.

Prices are shown as bands: Under £10, £10–25, £25–50, £50+. Amazon does not allow a price we have typed out by hand, and shop prices move in any case. The button is there so you can see today’s price, the seller, and whether it is actually in stock.

Photos are loaded from the retailer or the manufacturer. They are not copied into this project. Each card names the image source so it can be swapped later, for example for an Awin product-feed image.

The site makes money if you buy through an affiliate link. That is disclosed on every list, in the footer, and on the affiliate disclosure. The commission does not change the price you pay, and it is not a reason to recommend a worse toy.
